A very fun and exciting photograph. Brilliant bold colours and good use of props. Great use of Fast shutter speed to capture movement.

While all these images are worthy contenders and show expertise, what attracts me to Milliecent’s photograph is its simple spontaneity, coupled to the fact that she chooses to render it in monochrome. The simplicity of capturing the moment is the supreme gift that photography offers, and in our complex, often manipulative, profit-driven and Photo-shopped world, this is precisely what we are in danger of loosing. If Milliecent can avoid these black holes in her future career, she will do well.

Spontaneous and modern I like the irony of the books and the dis-regarded phone.

I really like the thought processes and planning that have produced Mikaela’s excellent imagery of progression – from parental support to independence via a [semi] protected crossing

I like Mikaela Mae Cobby’s simple message linking education, maturation, and the journey of life from home to the wider world, together with echos of the Beatles Abbey Road photo.
I am disappointed that none of the finalists was a mature student.

I think Emily witham is the best. For a young person I think she’s shown a lot of creativity and initiative! She’s done something original where as mikaela has copied something that’s been done many times. Yours is brilliant Emily!

I love Mikaela’s shot – kind of a mix of Abbey Road and the progression of man but with a very contemporary feel to it. And it all looks like the same girl – cleverly executed.

I agree with Courtney, Mikaela Mae Cobby’s work is of a high standard, but this has been done multiple tines before, an example: The Beatles on Abbey Road. Emily’s work is creative and of a high standard. Different is best. My vote for Emily Witham!

I don’t like Mikalea’s as I think it’s poorly edited, the lighting doesn’t compliment each sector. I love how creative Emily Witman’s is, she deserves to win
